2. The Pink Rubber Band Mystery
Meanwhile, Sodhi is returning home in his beloved car (Gaddi). On his way, he encounters a few neighborhood kids who insist on a joyride. Despite being in a rush, a good-natured Sodhi obliges, treating them to a round before heading home.
Shortly after Sodhi arrives home, Jassi Paaji comes over to collect his money. A nervous Roshan Bhabhi hands over the envelope prepared by the Mahila Mandal. However, when Jassi counts the cash, two anomalies pop up:
- There is an extra ₹500 note in the envelope.
- Jassi notices the envelope has been tampered with. He points out that when he originally handed over the stack, it was bound by a green rubber band, but it now has a pink rubber band.

- The Betrayal: When the time came to return the money, Birju started making excuses, eventually shut down his shop, switched off his phone, and vanished.
- The Fear: Roshan wanted to tell Sodhi the truth, but when she visited his garage, she saw him furiously losing his temper over a petty ₹5,000 dispute with someone else. Terrified of his anger, she kept quiet until the Mahila Mandal saved the day with their savings.
Hearing this, Sodhi doesn’t get angry. Instead, he consoles her, emphasizing that trust is the foundation of a marriage. He proudly forgives her for her good intentions.
Precap / Next Twist (Episode 4716)
While Sodhi forgave his wife, his wrath is now directed entirely at Birju, the fraudulent fruit vendor who cheated Roshan and jeopardized the savings of the Gokuldham women.
In the precap, a furious Sodhi storms into the Gokuldham Society compound, shouting and demanding that all the women come downstairs immediately. Hearing the commotion, Jethalal, Taarak Mehta, and Popatlal rush out to see what happened. Sodhi is on a mission to hunt down Birju and recover every single rupee!
